The general objective of the project is to research, design and experimentally develop new active products (based on the synergistic mixture of ingredients already authorised for animal feed) to be incorporated in pig feed with antimicrobial activity against certain intestinal pathogens (Brachyspira spp) of farm pigs, replacing or reducing the use of antibiotics for preventive and therapeutic purposes in pig production systems.
